Lula Pharmacy has been around since 1977, but in 2008 Karen and Amy took the reins.  They wanted to have an old-fashioned, home town pharmacy where they could “treat you like family.”  They underwent the very rigorous process to become an Accredited Provider for home medical equipment and supplies.  Not every pharmacy has this accreditation, but Karen and Amy wanted to provide their patients with the best possible care and experience.  

Both Karen Bowling and Amy Miller grew up in the Gainesville area and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. Karen has spent her career practicing in and around the Gainesville area while Amy worked in several other states before settling back home. They both love working in a small town and getting to know their patients and their patient’s families.  Karen loves travel, painting and spending time with her family.  Amy (although not artistic at all!) enjoys playing the piano, spending time with her family and her border collie Joy and being on the lake.

Our third pharmacist, Jeannie Burrell also graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.  In addition to working in other community pharmacies, she had worked at the Habersham County Medical Center as well as in Home Infusion and Long Term Care.  She lives in Cornelia and has 5 kids and 6 grandkids.  She enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Cooper Gerard and hiking.
